Lockheed Constellation - The Story Behind the Image

This amazing aircraft is on permanent display at the Pima Air Museum in Tuecon, AZ.  I had to get in tight as this museum has aircraft of many different years scattered around on display.  By getting in tight, I was able to avoid jets from the 1980's mixed with prop planes of the 1950's.

Wilber Wright's last flight was a passenger in a Constellation flown by Howard Hughes.  What is interesting about that fact is that the wing span on the "Connie" was longer than Wilber's first flight at Kitty Hawk.
